Majority of Three Jewels' Team Members come from Solukhumbu a district situated on the southern part of the Mt. Everest. With experience of many years and expertise as native mountain people, our team is able to deliver quality service to each of our clients in adventure with us.

Amber Tamang is the founder manager of the Three Jewels Adventures.Apart from managing his own company, he is the local representative and trip leader for Himalayan High Treks, CA, USA. He was born in a remote village of Solukhumbu lower foothills of Mt. Everest. His tiny village of Tapting is off the trekking route so it's undeveloped and not even mentioned in most of the maps of the area. Up to high school, his schooling was in Sindhuli of southern Nepal where his grandfather helped him to study. In 1993, he first ventured to Kathmandu for further study. He holds Masters degree in culture (that includes Indian philosophy, History and Archaeology) and also undergraduate degree in Law from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu. His career in tourism begun as part time trekking staff from 1993. He has received trainings and participated in different workshops and seminars related to culture and sustainable tourism. He shares his knowledge in this field contributing articles in various publications. In free times he spends his time helping his wife to cook and traveling with his team in to new trekking areas. Sushma Tamang, assistant manager of Three Jewels Adventures is a fresh undergraduate in economics from woman's college in Kathmandu. She handles the administration at office. She had her schooling in Udayapur, a remote southern district of eastern Nepal. She lives in Kathmandu with her small family accompanied by her husband Amber Tamang and daughter Anjali.
Utar Tamang works as Trekking and climbing guiding for Three Jewels Adventures on contract basis. Utar has visited most of the trekking sector and led many trips around. He is certified guide from NTHAM (tourism academy) and trained in wilderness first aid. He also has received climbing guide training from NMA(Nepal Mountaineering Association )and has already climbed Lobuche east (6119mtr) on the way to Everest base camp trek, Pisang peak in Annapurna and Tent Peak also in Annapurna region and Stok Kang Ri in Ladakh.
Ambar Saila Tamang is one of the very knowledgeable guides at Three Jewels Adventures. He had missed his school education after primary level, as his family was unable to support him paying the school fees. So he started his career in trekking starting as trekking porter in 1996. Ambar holds certification in trekking guiding from tourism academy (NTHAM, Kathmandu) and wilderness first aid training from Kathamndu Environmental Education Project (KEEP). He is well traveled and knowledgeable guide for most of the trekking trails in Nepal that includes Everest, Langtang, Renzo pass, Ganzala pass Annapurna and Mustang. Recently he has climbed Island Peak in the Everest Region. He is superb cook as well. He also works for Himalayan High Treks, CA, USA as local guide on contract basis for their treks in Nepal.
Karna B. Tamang 'KB' two times Everest summitter once solo from camp 4 to the top is one of the outstanding climbing guides in Nepal. He recently led a trip to the summit of Everest where the client had become semi unconscious and he managed a rare rescue to bring his client down to the base camp. Bhim Pakhrin is one of the key team members of the Three Jewels Adventures. He is from Solukhumbu district of Nepal. He has specialized in Tibet trip operation. He was one of the very first Nepali trip guides to led full-fledged pilgrimage trip to Mt. Kailash apart from local Chinese and Tibetan staff. He has led more than 50 pilgrimage trips to Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar which is unmatchable with any of the other Nepali trip guides. He has successfully climbed Mt. Lakpa Ri and up to 4th Camp of Mt. Everest from the Tibet side. He speaks good English, Tibetan and some Chinese
Kshetra Bdr. Basnet is sales and marketing manager of Three Jewels Adventures. He comes from Sindhupalchok a district bordered with Tibet China. He has completed bachelors degree. He has learned Chinese Mandarin and his communication in English is also very good. Kshetra is also a creative web master and graphic designer.
Ang Phuri Sherpa is from the sherpa's land Solukhumbu. He has completed higher secondary level of schooling. He has led treks in remote places like Tilman's Pass in the Langtang Valley. He also speaks very good English. Besides trekking in recent times he has been learning some basic climbing skills as well.
Ang Gyalzen Sherpa is a freelance mountaineering and trekking guide. He prefers to lead climbing trip as he is very dedicated mountain guide as some of our clients have said. However while not climbing he does lead treks too. He has climbed many small peaks including one successful climb of Mt. Everest.
Nima Sange Sherpa is the senior climbing Sherpa at Three Jewels. In his career as climbing as assistant guide and Sherpa, he has climbed more than 10 different trekking peaks including Mt. Baruntse (7000+meter), Pumori, Amadablam and over 8000mter of Mt. Everest. While not climbing he does support us as trekking sirdar specialized in remote treks and high passes and he helps his family back in the Solukhumbu.
